USC's Pahl Named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - USC middle blocker Jennifer Pahl has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 19-24, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Pahl, a junior from Murrieta, Calif., led the Trojans to road victories over No. 11 Stanford and California during the week. During that span, she hit .615 with 16 kills (2.70 kpg) and no errors in 26 attempts with ten blocks (1.66 bpg) and eight digs (1.33 dpg).

In the win at Stanford , Pahl hit .750 with six kills and no errors in eight attempts with six blocks, then hit .556 with 10 kills and no errors in 18 attempts against California. She also added seven digs and four blocks in the victory over the Bears. Pahl has helped lead USC to sweeps over all nine opponents faced this year.

This is the first weekly honor for Pahl, USC's 23rd Player of the Week honor all-time.
