Arizona's Napier Named Volleyball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Arizona outiside hitter Allison Napier has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for September 26 - October 1, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Napier, a senior from Santa Ana, Calif., recorded 37 killls (6.17 kpg) on 73 attempts with eight errors (.397 hitting percentage) in Arizona's two, three game sweeps over No. 15 Stanford and California. She also added eight digs and seven blocks in those two matches.

Napier had a game-high 16 kills, a .419 hitting percentage, four digs and four blocks against Stanford, then posted a career-high tying 21 kills while hitting .381 in a victory over Cal.

This is the first weekly honor for Napier, Arizona's 14th Player of the Week honor all-time.
