California's Perry Named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - California outiside hitter Alicia Perry has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for October 3-8, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Perry, a senior from Lakewood, Calif., recorded 44 kills and 44 digs along with a .297 hitting percentage in Cal's victories over Washington and Washington State. She also added three assists and four blocks during the week.

In the win over Washington, Perry tallied 26 kills, 30 digs, three assists and three blocks to lead the Bears. Against the Cougars, she had 18 kills and 14 digs to go along with a block. Perry currently leads the Bears with 257 kills and 224 digs.

This is the second weekly honor for Perry, California's 13th Player of the Week honor all-time.
