ON TAP: The 18th-ranked Arizona State soccer team (11-1, 2-0 Pac-10) host sixth-ranked Washington (11-1, 2-0 Pac-10) on Friday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. The winner will hold sole possession of first place in the Pac-10. On Sunday, the Sun Devils will play against Washington State (8-4, 0-2 Pac-10) with a kick off set for 2:00 p.m.

THE RANKINGS: ASU gained a couple of spots after two road victories in the Pac-10, but still did not get back into two polls:

ASU'S OPPONENTS: This will be the fourth meeting between ASU and UW, with the Huskies winning all three match ups. ASU fell in double overtime last year in Seattle 2-1. Against WSU, ASU holds a 3-1 overall record, winning the past three matches.

SUN DEVIL SOCCER STADIUM: This season Arizona State christened its new soccer stadium. Located on the same field, the new 1,050 seat stadium features chairback and bench seating, a spacious locker room, team room and training room.

BREAKING SCORING RECORDS: Arizona State set three team records in their 7-0 shutout over Pittsburgh. The seven goals scored broke the old record of six against Utah State in 1997. (ASU tied the record again with a 7-0 win over Eastern Michigan). ASU's eight assists in the game broke last year's mark set against Wyoming when the Sun Devils tallied seven. The 22 total points (7 g/8 a) set an all-time high, breaking the old mark of 17 points also against Wyoming.

LAST TIME OUT: ASU collected two important Pac-10 games on the road as they defeated Oregon 2-1 and shutout Oregon State 2-0. Against the Ducks, just 73 seconds into the game, Oregon posted the first goal to go ahead 1-0. The Sun Devils were held scoreless until the 82nd minute when Stacey Tullock found Haley van Bloomestein open from 10 yards out to tie the game at one apiece. Tullock did not start the match due to a lingering illness and did not enter the game until the 40th minute of the first half. Tullock did end up sparking the Sun Devils and finished with nine shots. Antoinette Marjanovic netted the game-winner in the 87th minute as she took advantage of a defensive mistake by the Ducks. Marjanovic dribbled the ball uncontested for about 20 yards before beating one defender and netting the shot pass the goalkeeper. Against the Beavers, ASU again used two goals in the second half to seal the win. In the 58th minute, Holly Cohen's shot was knocked away by the OSU goalkeeper, but Marjanovic rushed ahead and took the rebound and put it in the back of the net. In the 76th minute, Tullock snuck the ball pass the goalkeeper from 10 yards out for her team-high 11th goal. Patrice Fuelner and Anne Poulin were credited with the assists. Goalkeeper Erin Reinke went the distance in both games, collecting seven and two saves respectively.

STARTING STRONG: Freshman Patrice Feulner has made an immediate impact on ASU's front line. She's tied for the team-high in points (27), leads the team in assists (7) (ties the single-season record) and is second in goals (10). She has also tallied back-to-back hat tricks this season: one against Pittsburgh and Eastern Michigan. Feulner is already ASU's fifth all-time leader in goals and sixth all-time leader in points. In addition, Feulner is second in the Pac-10 in points (2.17), fourth in goals (10) and fourth in goals per game (0.87) Feulner also has an accurate leg with 24 of her 37 shots going on goal (team high: .649).

TOUTING TULLOCK: Junior All-American Stacey Tullock (Phoenix, Arizona) continues to heat up the playing field. The 1999 Pac-10 Player of the Year and 1998 Pac-10 Freshman of the Year, Tullock was named a 2000 preseason first team All-American by Soccer Buzz and a second team All American by Soccer America. Tullock is ASU's career leader in every offensive category: goals (41), assists (19), points (101), game-winners (13). Tullock leads this year's team in goals (11), game-winning goals (5), shots (64) and shots on goal (34) and is tied for the team-high in points (27). In addition, Tullock has scored at least one goal in nine of ASU's 12 games this season. The midfielder is 13th in the country with 1.00 goals per game and 19th in points per game (2.36). Tullock's golden goal against Georgia (fifth game-winner and new ASU single-season record) landed her on Soccer America's Team of the Week: her fourth career appearance. Additionally, with her one goal and one assist performace against the Oregon schools, Tullock: in just over 2 and half years: broke the century mark in points with 101.

DEFENSIVE DEMONS: Through 12 games, ASU has allowed only eight goals (five in one game) and limited its opponents to only 51 shots on goal�that's just over four SOG/game. ASU is ranked eighth in the country in shutout percentage (.667). Senior defenders Jessica Bohl and Jaclyn Clark, along with freshmen Amy LePeilbet and Temryess Lane have held opponents to a 0.72 shot percentage. Senior goalkeeper Erin Reinke, has recorded 7.5 shutouts this year and has made only 39 saves. She is 20th in the country in goals-against average (0.66) and first in the conference in shutouts. As a team ASU is first in the Pac-10 in shutouts (8) and third in goals allowed (0.66).

GOING ON THE OFFENSE: Arizona State is 18th in the country in scoring offense, averaging 3.00 goals per game. Arizona State is at or near the top in the Pac-10 in every major offensive category. The Sun Devils are first in points (114), first in assists (42), first in assist per game (3.60), second in shots (239), third in goals (36) and third in goals per game (3.00). The Sun Devils also like to help each other, placing four players in the top 10 of the Pac-10 assists leaders.

MARJANOVIC HONORED: Junior midfielder Antoinette Marjanovic was named the Pac-10 Player of the Week (Oct. 3-9) with her two game-winning goals against the Oregon Schools. This is Marjanovic's first Pac-10 honor.

FRESHMEN INFLUENCE: The Sun Devils start five freshmen a game with each player making significant contributions: Patrice Feulner (F), Haley van Blommestein (M), Temryss Lane (D), Amy LePeilbet (D), Emily Schwimmer (M/F). Combined the five have produced 44 points with 13 goals, 18 assists and two game-winners.

HOME COOKING: Over the past two seasons, Arizona State holds a 16-2 home record, including a perfect 8-0 this year.

MORE RECORDS SET...AND COUNTING: ASU's eighth shutout of the season, a 2-0 blanking over Oregon State, broke the previous school record of six in a single season set last year ... ASU also set a new team assists record with 42, breaking the 1997 record of 41.

UNITED KINGDOM TOUR: The Sun Devils spent the second half of July touring the United Kingdom, playing five matches against some of the region's top teams. ASU posted a 4-1 record, outscoring its opponents 20-3. Junior All-American Stacey Tullock led the team with 14 points (5 g/4 a), while sophomore Holly Cohen netted 12 points (5 g/2 a).

CORNER KICKS: ASU returns its four all-time points leaders (Tullock, Inoue, Marjanovic, Clark) ... 10 players have at least three points ... 10 players have scored at least one goal this year ... five different players (Marjanovic, Inoue, Feulner, Lane, Tullock, Cohen) have each tallied a game-winning goal this year ... ASU set a new single-game home attendance record of 643 against Michigan ... Franco Bari and Chris Sagar join Patraw's staff as new assistants ... ASU plays 14 of its 20 games at home this year ... the Sun Devils hold a 23-17-2 record against their 2000 opponents ... ASU is 6-11 all-time against Top-25 competition ...
