It would have been easy for Colorado to give up on this one. Down 17 in the fourth quarter on the road at Washington State, the Buffaloes appeared to be headed for their fourth straight defeat to start the season.

And then the Buffaloes' offense worked its magic. Colorado hit on two huge plays: a 70-yard touchdown pass to tight end Nick Kasa, and a Tony Jones 84-yard rush to the end zone.

Inheriting a short field, the Buffaloes' defense held Washington State to a field goal attempt setting up the final drive of the game. On fourth and goal from the 4, Jordan Webb kept the shotgun snap all to himself and crossed the goal line to put the Buffaloes on top and upend the Cougars 35-34. Head coach Jon Embree was pumped:
