An opportunistic defense and efficient running attack helped preserve No. 11 USC's 24-14 victory over host Washington Saturday night in Seattle.

Anthony Brown's blocked punt and subsequent recovery for a touchdown gave USC a 24-7 lead going into the second half, but Washington turned up the pressure on the Trojans in the third quarter, scoring on a 29-yard touchdown pass from Keith Price to star tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Justin Wilcox's defense held the Trojans off the scoreboard in the second half, giving the Huskies multiple chances to inch closer.

Washington came knocking on the door early in the fourth quarter with the ball inside the Trojan 5, but Jawanza Starling forced a Keith Price fumble to give the ball back to the Trojans, who marched down the field and ate up more than five and a half minutes of clock in large thanks to the running of Silas Redd. The Penn State transfer finished with 155 yards on 26 carries and a touchdown, giving him his third 100-yard rushing game in a Trojan uniform.

Washington would have two more offensive drives come to a screeching halt with turnovers, including this forced fumble by Dion Bailey, who put an absolute lickin' on Keith Price.

And with that, USC wrapped up its second consecutive 10-point victory on the road, last beating Utah 38-28 in Rice-Eccles Stadium nine days prior.
