Despite finishing last in the conference in 2011-12, Arizona played a lot of teams close and came up just short multiple times, losing seven games by single digits and twice in overtime during Pac-12 play. One of the keys to turning those L's into W's for the Wildcats this year is doing a better job on the glass. The Wildcats finished 10th in the conference in rebounding defense and eighth in rebounding margin.

But where will the rebounds come from this year?

"I may get a few, some of the other coaches may get a few," Wildcats boss Niya Butts joked. But there is no playing around about her desire to improve upon last year's 15-17 finish and get back to the postseason. "I think I can be effective I'm so hungry," she said. "That's how much passion I have for it. I want to win; I'm a competitor. That's just who I am."
