The Oregon Ducks just can’t get any computer love. Despite dropping 70 on Colorado and Florida losing to Georgia, Oregon remains at No. 4 as a result of Notre Dame’s win over Oklahoma. However, thanks to a tough remaining schedule that includes games against USC, Stanford and Oregon State, the Ducks still have a very good shot of surpassing two of the three teams in front of them should they win out. The 70 points scored against the Buffaloes were a season-high for Oregon, which scored at least 50 points in the first half for the second time this season and surpassed the 50-point plateau in a game for the fifth time in eight tries. Boy, the Ducks sure were slacking when they only put up 42 against Fresno State, 43 against Arizona State and 49 vs. Arizona…

The Beavers’ dreams of a perfect season came crashing down on Saturday night in Seattle with a 20-17 loss to the Washington Huskies. They paid a sizable BCS price; Oregon State is now No. 11, falling four spots from No. 7 last week. No In-N-Out for the Beavers last night, but they will have a chance to get right and secure a winning season next Saturday against Arizona State.

Stanford is now the third-highest Pac-12 team in the BCS standings after USC’s loss and its own 24-17 win over a gritty Washington State squad. The Cardinal are the No. 14 team according to the BCS, up three spots from last week’s check-in at 17. After a trip to Boulder, the road gets considerably tougher, as an Oregon State-Oregon-UCLA home stretch awaits the Cardinal to wrap up the regular season.

For the second consecutive week, USC put on an offensive clinic. For the second consecutive week, USC and Pac-12 records were broken. But for the second time this season, USC lost, falling by a score of 39-36 at Arizona. The defeat dropped USC to No. 17 in the BCS standings. The Trojans can’t hang their heads, though, as Oregon comes to town next weekend for a showdown that could have Rose Bowl and national championship implications.

Finally, let’s welcome Arizona to the party. By beating USC yesterday, the Wildcats are now No. 22. This is the first time the Wildcats have appeared in the BCS standings since Nov. 28, 2010, when they were No. 23. If Arizona wants to make this more than a brief stay in the BCS standings, it will have to beat UCLA, which could make a case for being included in next week’s Pac-12 Post BCS write-up by upending Arizona.
