USC's Christina Marinacci: Woman of many talents

During the Pac-12 Football Media Day in July, we caught up with Arizona State linebacker Brandon Magee, an aspiring sports broadcaster once his playing days are over.

It looks like he'll have some conference company. USC's Christina Marinacci is also active in the business, acting as a sideline reporter for USC football games in her spare time, which, as a student-athlete, isn't too much. It doesn't matter if it's sideline reporter or sports anchor or in-game analyst - Marinacci just wants to be a part of the broadcasting action.

"It doesn't even seem like a job to me, because studying sports for a career doesn't seem like work," Marinacci said.

Her head coach Michael Cooper gives her a ringing endorsement, as his previous work for ABC helped Marinacci get an internship there.

"She is heading in the right direction," Cooper said. "I think she is going to be a great woman; not just in basketball but afterwards."
