Pac-12 Men's Basketball Media Day kicked off with an officiating seminar for members of the media. In the back row, all 12 players representing their teams today also soaked in the advice of Pac-12 coordinator of men's basketball officiating Ed Rush.

While making a point about continuation, Rush used a play from Stanford's game against Butler last year where Cardinal guard Aaron Bright got in the lane, took contact and proceeded to finish at the basket for a potential and-one.

Before Rush could ask "is this a good basket?," Bright, who is representing the Cardinal today, blurted out "that's good!"

He was right, Rush explained, because he stopped his dribble, kept his balance and went up toward the basket in a continuous motion. In the actual game, the bucket counted, and Bright earned himself a trip to the free throw line to boot.

Doesn't hurt to to stand up for yourself 11 months later as well.
