Singler the anchor throughout great turnover in Eugene

Compare the 2011-12 and 2012-13 Oregon rosters and you'll find a lot of names that don't match. With six freshmen and three new transfers, the Ducks will have quite the different look this year when they take the floor for their Nov. 10 opener against Northern Arizona.

However, there are three returning seniors who figure to play a prominent role in the upcoming campaign for head coach Dana Altman. One of those guys is E.J. Singler, who has been a consistently productive forward since he stepped foot on the Eugene campus. Last season, he became the 13th Duck in school history to accumulate 1,000 points and 500 rebounds for a career, and he still has one more year of eligibility.

"E.J. has been an anchor for us the last two years. He has done a great job of stabilizing our team." Altman said. "He does all the dirty work. He gets the all the rebounds... He's going to have to have a great year, as are the other two seniors, for us to have a good year."
