At long last, the Oregon Ducks get a little bit of love for being the most explosive team in college football. All it took was a 62-point output on the road at USC, but the Ducks have finally moved up one spot to No. 3. Oregon passed up Notre Dame, which eked out a win at home in triple overtime against Pittsburgh. Three more wins separate the Ducks from representing the Pac-12 North in the conference championship game, and their final trio of tilts all come against northern foes (Cal, Stanford, Oregon State). Still plenty of work for the Ducks to do before they can think about a potential national championship.

The Beavers wound up back in the win column on Saturday night to secure a winning season. It took a while for things to get going, but the Beavers overcame some early mistakes to knock off Arizona State 36-26. Unfortunately for Mike Riley and Co., only one BCS top 10 team lost, and LSU's close defeat at the hands of the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide wasn't nearly enough to drop the Bayou Bengals out of the top 10. As a result, Oregon State stays put at No. 11.

No movement for the Stanford Cardinal, either. However, Stanford did look very impressive in Boulder thanks to the play of backup quarterback Kevin Hogan, who might not be a backup for much longer. Stanford defeated Colorado 48-0 and held the Buffaloes to just 76 yards of total offense and -21 yards rushing; that's two weeks in a row now that the Cardinal have held opponents to negative rushing yardage. Stanford enters a tough finishing stretch (Oregon State, Oregon, UCLA) as the No. 14 team in the BCS standings, the last spot to be eligible for an at-large selection to a BCS game.

The Bruins had been ranked in the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll in previous weeks, but for the first time this year, UCLA is in the BCS top 25 at No. 18. This is the result of a 66-10 thumping of Arizona at home, a victory that put the Bruins all alone at top of the Pac-12 South with a 4-2 conference record, meaning the Bruins can make it two straight trips to the Pac-12 Championship by winning out. Not an easy task, though, as both USC and Stanford remain on the Bruins' slate.

USC had arguably its best offensive performance of the season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to overcome Oregon in a 62-51 loss that dropped the Trojans to No. 19 in the latest BCS standings. Despite trailing UCLA in the Pac-12 South, the Trojans still control their own destiny to the Pac-12 Championship game. If they beat Arizona State and UCLA, the Trojans will have a shot to play for a trip to the Rose Bowl.
