Women’s Tennis Announces 2013-14 Schedule

EUGENE, Ore. – Head coach Paul Reber and his staff announced the release of the 2013-14 women’s tennis schedule Monday afternoon. The Ducks will host only 10 matches this year compared to the 16 matches the previous year.
UO’s fall schedule will have the usual ITA All-American in Los Angeles, Calif. from Sept. 29-Oct. 6. The Ducks then take a 12-day break before making a trip to the bay area for four days at the Northwest Regional held in Palo Alto, Calif. on Oct. 18-22. Oregon will cap off its fall season at the Fresno State Invitational Nov. 1-3.
The Ducks kick open their spring season hosting a four-team dual with South Carolina Upstate, Portland and Eastern Washington Jan. 24-26. UO then hosts Portland and Portland State five days later before heading to the Hawkeye State for a pair of duals against Iowa and DePaul on back-to-back days, Feb. 7-8. Before heading home, Oregon will make its way to Minneapolis, Minn., Feb. 15-16, to play Oklahoma State and Minnesota.
UO then returns home to play Akron on Feb. 22 before opening Pac-12 Conference play against Utah Mar. 7 at noon. After hosting Colorado two days later on the ninth, the Duck’s hit the road for a month taking on Arizona State, Arizona and Northern Arizona in a four-day stretch mid-March. Oregon then makes a trip to Las Vegas, Nev. for a single non-conference match against UNLV before heading to SoCal to face-off against USC and UCLA Mar. 28-29.
The Ducks will then host their final three home matches at the tennis complex with Washington on the slate first on Apr. 6, followed by Stanford on Apr. 11, and capped off by Cal on Apr. 13. Oregon will pay a visit to Moscow, Idaho, Apr. 18, for a non-conference match-up with the Vandals before concluding conference play with an 11 a.m. match against Washington State the following day in Pullman, Wash.
UO will then have four days to gear up for the Pac-12 Championships in Ojai, Calif., Apr. 24-27, for a chance to play in the NCAA Championships in Athens, Ga. at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex May 15-26.
