Pac-12 Networks viewer guide for December 1

The do-or-die excitement of the NCAA tournament will be on tap today as Pac-12 Networks features its first ever NCAA postseason action with an afternoon men’s soccer showdown between No. 6 Cal and No. 18 Coastal Carolina.  

Following soccer, Pac-12 Networks will televise a men’s basketball doubleheader with the high-scoring Stanford Cardinal hosting South Dakota State at 5 p.m. PT and No. 14 Oregon facing Cal Poly at 7 p.m. PT. All three events will be carried on all seven Pac-12 Networks.

In case that isn’t enough to satisfy your sports appetite, the Oregon women’s basketball game vs. Princeton will be live streamed on at Noon PT.

Expect some fast-paced action when Princeton (3-3) visits Oregon (3-2) for a non-conference women’s basketball match-up. Oregon is coming off an 83-80 victory over Pepperdine on Monday night. The Ducks led by as much as 24 points in the second half, but needed a steal by Danielle Love and a pair of Ariel Thomas free throws in the final seconds to ice the Waves. Jillian Alleyne had 21 points. Meanwhile, Princeton comes to town after notching a 94-76 road victory over Portland State Saturday. Men’s Soccer

No. 18 Coastal Carolina at No. 6 Cal

Pac-12 Networks will televise its first-ever NCAA tournament event when No. 6 Cal hosts Coastal Carolina in the third round of the NCAA men’s soccer tournament. Winner advances to the quarterfinals next week. The Golden Bears (13-4-2, 6-3-1 Pac-12), who finished third in the Pac-12, clinched a third-round appearance with a 3-1 victory over Bradley last Sunday, while Coastal Carolina (19-4-0, 9-1-0 Big South) advanced with shutouts of East Tennessee State (2-0) and No. 13 seed Charlotte (1-0) in the first and second rounds, respectively.

South Dakota State at Stanford

Stanford (5-2) hosts South Dakota State (3-5) in a regional round game of the Progressive Legends Classic at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal has won 4 of its last 5 and is aiming to secure another non-conference victory before its upcoming 12-day break for final exams. Junior guard Chasson Randle leads a balanced offensive attack for the Cardinal with 18.1 points per game.

Cal Poly at No. 14 Oregon

Junior guard Joseph Young leads No. 14 Oregon (6-0) against Cal Poly (2-4) in the final round of the Global Sports Hardwood Challenge in Eugene. The Ducks posted a 91-76 win over North Dakota State last night behind Young’s 23 points. Cal Poly looks to rebound from a 73-71 loss to Pacific Saturday night. To do it, they will have to figure out how to slow down the outside-inside duo of Young and Mike Moser, who combine to average 37.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and nearly 4.0 steals per game.
