Stanford

The New York Times profiles Stanford strength and conditioning guru Shannon Turley and his unique approach that's shaped the Cardinal football program.

Washington

The Huskies will look different on the sideline and in the backfield next season. Bishop Sankey is off to the NFL

Oregon

Oregon sent defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti off into retirement on a winning note in Monday's Alamo Bowl, dropping the Texas Longhorns 30-7. Fitting that Aliotti went to Pittsburg High School because so did Ducks safety Avery Patterson, who picked off the first Texas passing attempt and returned it for a touchdown.

Arizona State

Todd Graham took a bit of blame in the Sun Devils' 37-23 loss to Texas Tech in Monday's Holiday Bowl and called the first half the “worst half of football” ASU played all year – defensively, at least.

Arizona

It's nice to be No. 1 over the winter break, but the Arizona basketball team would like its stockings to be full of caution rather than exuberance with a full conference schedule ahead.

California

Cal defensive tackle DeAndre Coleman will play in the East-West Shrine game

Colorado

Another East-West Shrine game invite is Colorado defensive end Chidera Uzo-Diribe.

Oregon State

If you like hustle, underdog stories and players that impact the game outside of the box score, Beavers forward Langston Morris-Walker is for you. He has gone from odd-man out to necessity as an energy-inducing influence

Utah

Third-year hoops coach Larry Krystkowiak admits he's a little nervous about entering Pac-12 play.

USC

Remember, kids, don't foul a jump-shooter. Despite a last-second foul on a three-point shooter, the USC Trojan women's hoopers held off UCLA.

UCLA

UCLA football coach Jim Mora thinks quarterback Brett Hundley will return for his junior season. But after being posed the question and giving it thought, he admitted a return of Hundley requires some hoping, too.

Washington State

Two familiar WSU Cougars will be a part of Chris Petersen's coaching staff at Washington, which could be awkward. Apple Cup and all.
