First-ever televised special honoring 2014 Tom Hansen Conference Medal winners premieres Tuesday, July 1 at 7:00 p.m. PT

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (June 26, 2014) – While live event productions have come to a close for the 2013-14 season, Pac-12 Networks has a slate of fresh programming on deck for the summer to keep fans entertained through August.

Pac-12 Networks’ summer schedule begins Tuesday, July 1 at 7:00 p.m. PT with Pride of the Pac, a one-hour special honoring the 24 winners of the prestigious Tom Hansen Conference Medal. Named after former Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen, the medal has been awarded for the past 53 years to the top student-athletes demonstrating excellence in scholarship, athletics and leadership.

Hosted by Mike Yam and Ashley Adamson, Pride of the Pac features profiles on all 24 winners, which include one male and one female student-athlete from each Conference institution. The special also includes Adamson speaking one-on-one with Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott, who shares the significance of the award and how past winners such as Pat Tillman, Jennie Finch, Bill Walton and John Elway speak to the qualities that the Pac-12 Conference stands for. The program also features Pac-12 Networks analyst Rick Neuheisel, also a former Hansen award winner, who shares his memories of winning the medal and what the honor meant to him.

As Pride of the Pac recognizes the top student-athletes of the past year, the last two installments of The 12 Best gives props to the Best Games of 2013-14, Sunday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. PT, followed by the season finale that counts down the Best Moments of 2013-14 on Sunday, July 6 at 6:00 p.m. PT.

The next evening sees the return of Timelines, a 30-minute school-specific look back at all the great moments from the 2013-14 season. Hosted by Yam and Adamson, each show shines a light on a different campus with all 12 Conference institutions represented. Each show will debut Monday, July 7 starting at 7:00 p.m. PT, with the first air of each show premiering on its respective regional network. From football and basketball to tennis, water polo and golf, Timelines relives all the sports milestones achieved on each campus, which collectively produced an additional 10 NCAA Championships for the Pac-12 this past year.

On Wednesday, July 16, Pac-12 Networks’ resident QB whisperer Rick Neuheisel returns with two final episodes of Under Center with Rick Neuheisel, featuring Washington State’s Connor Halliday at 7:30 p.m. PT, followed immediately by Stanford’s Kevin Hogan at 8:00 p.m. PT. Five previous episodes of Under Center premiered earlier this Spring, offering fans an inside look into the game preparation and personalities of Oregon State’s Sean Mannion, Arizona State’s Taylor Kelly, UCLA’s Brett Hundley, USC’s Cody Kessler and Marcus Mariota of Oregon.

In each 30-minute installment, Neuheisel takes players into ‘The Dungeon’ for a lesson in film study, while outside the film room, discerns the intangibles and leadership traits of each young player that has designated them as the leader of their programs. Prior to the debut of the final two episodes featuring Halliday and Hogan, encores of the first five Under Center shows will air across all seven networks beginning at 5:00 p.m. PT.

After mentoring today’s crop of Pac-12 football talent, Neuheisel returns Sunday, August 3 as host of Varsity Days, taking fans back with rare or never before seen football highlights from the early days of the Pac-8 and Pac-10. Air dates and times for additional episodes will be announced at a later time.
