Pac-12 Now Available for Google Fiber Subscribers

If you’re living in Kansas City, Provo or Austin, you’re in luck! Google Fiber subscribers in those areas will now have full access to the Pac-12 Now App on Web, mobile, and tablet.

"We are thrilled to add Google Fiber to the roster of TV Providers whose subscribers can login to watch Pac-12 Networks on the go,” said Ryan Currier, Head of Digital Products for Pac-12 Networks.

With this enhanced partnership, Google Fiber subscribers can use Pac-12 Now to watch the full array of coverage across all of Pac-12 Networks: 850 live events across 27 sports, including 35 football games, 150 men’s basketball games and hundreds of Olympic sports events – not to mention quality, in-depth analysis from Pac-12 Networks talent.  All seven networks can be viewed on all devices Pac-12 Now supports.

Google Fiber is a high-speed fiber network that delivers Internet and a full TV channel lineup accessible to customers through a TV or mobile device. The service delivers an Internet connection that is 100 times faster than basic broadband connections.

In March 2011, Kansas City, Kansas was the first city to receive Google Fiber Services. Now, the technology is also available in Kansas City, Missouri and Provo, Utah. Additionally, a Google Fiber network will soon be available in Austin, Texas before the end of the year.

Pac-12 Networks first reached a deal with Google Fiber for carriage in August 2013. In that deal, Google Fiber subscribers gained access to Pac-12 Networks through its Sports Plus Package, which made all seven networks available in high definition.

In August 2012, Pac-12 Networks became the first to launch TV Everywhere simultaneous with the linear Networks.  Subscribers on Time Warner Cable, AT&T U-verse, DISH Network and 30+ other providers can access this service via Internet, iPad, iPhone, and Android.
