'Countdown to Kickoff' begins on Pac-12 Networks Aug. 16

Pac-12 Networks and Pac-12.com to offer fans an array of new programming and content leading up to Kickoff Week

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (August 14, 2014) – For Pac-12 fans, August is the most wonderful time of the year and Pac-12 Networks is getting into the spirit of the season with its ‘Countdown to Kickoff’ campaign, featuring more live events, programming and features on Pac-12 Networks and Pac-12 Now.

The week begins with Mike Yam, Rick Neuheisel, Curtis Conway and Nick Aliotti making their final visits to Washington State (Sunday, August 17), Washington (Tuesday, August 19), USC (Wednesday, August 20), UCLA (Thursday, August 21) and California (Saturday, August 23) as part of the Pac-12 Football Training Camp series. Each one-hour show airing at 9:00 p.m. PT features exclusive interviews and analysis from the trio on-site at each Pac-12 campus.

The third season of live events officially gets underway on Pac-12 Networks Friday, August 22, with four women’s soccer matches beginning at 3:00 p.m. PT with Colorado hosting Colorado State. TCU vs. Washington State and San Francisco-California (only on Pac-12 Bay Area and Pac-12 Los Angeles) follow at 5:00 p.m. PT, while defending NCAA Champion and top-ranked UCLA make their Pac-12 Networks debut at home against Maryland at 7:00 p.m. PT.

Beginning August 25, Kickoff Week on Pac-12 Networks marks the return of several weekly shows starting with the Networks’ flagship show Pac-12 Sports Report, hosted by JB Long and Ashley Adamson Monday at 7:00 p.m. PT. On Tuesday, August 26 at 7:00 p.m. PT, Pac-12 Football Weekly makes its season two return, followed by Pac-12 Football Classics at 8:00 p.m. PT, highlighting Arizona State’s historic 1987 Rose Bowl win over Michigan. On Wednesday, August 27 at 7:00 p.m. PT comes the highly anticipated premiere of Pac-12 Networks’ groundbreaking documentary The Drive: Pac-12 Football, focusing on the 2014 UCLA Bruins.

On Thursday, August 28, the 2014 football season begins with the return of the Pac-12 Football Pregame Show at 3:30 p.m. PT, followed by a doubleheader starting with Utah hosting Idaho State at 4:30 p.m. PT and Weber State versus Arizona State at 7:30 p.m. PT. The Pac-12 Football Postgame Report airs immediately following Weber State-ASU, with highlights and analysis of all season opening games around college football.

Football continues on Saturday, August 30 with the Pac-12 Football Pregame Show beginning at Noon PT, followed by Stanford hosting UC Davis and Oregon State at home against Portland State (only on Pac-12 Oregon and Pac-12 Washington) at 1:00 p.m. PT. Oregon’s home opener against South Dakota is featured as the Networks’ primetime game at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Additionally, Pac-12.com launches its ’12 Days to Kickoff’ campaign Saturday, August 16, encouraging fans to get into the spirit of the season with themed social shares each day leading up to the season opener Thursday, August 28. From photos of fans – and pets – decked out in their favorite team’s gear, to must-have foods for a winning tailgate, social users are encouraged to join the fun online and share how they are gearing up for the season.

The Pac-12 Networks Football Podcast also returns to Pac-12.com Tuesday, August 26th with hosts Mike Yam and Rick Neuheisel discussing the latest news and hot topics in college football, while following Wednesday night’s premiere of The Drive: Pac-12 Football, Pac-12.com’s new web series Overdrive makes its debut. Following every new episode of The Drive, fans can go to Overdrive on Pac-12.com to access unseen footage from the week’s show with director’s commentary.
