Stanford men to play winner of UNLV/UC Irvine, third round women’s matchup to be determined

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (Nov. 20, 2014) –Pac-12 Networks will televise live one NCAA women’s soccer tournament game and one NCAA men’s soccer tournament game hosted at Stanford on Sunday, November 23 at 1 pm PT and 5 pm PT.

On the women’s side, teams in the Pac-12 Networks’ televised matchup on Nov. 23 at 1 pm PT will feature top-seed Stanford against Pac-12 foe No. 4 Washington. Rich Cellini and Temryss Lane have the call, which will air on Pac-12 Bay Area and Pac-12 Washington.

After earning a first round bye, No. 6 seed Stanford men’s soccer will host the winner of UNLV vs. UC Irvine at home on Nov. 23 at 5 pm PT. The game will air on Pac-12 Bay Area, with play-by-play caller Christian Miles and analyst Cobi Jones.

This marks the second season Pac-12 Networks has acquired broadcast rights from the NCAA to televise postseason games hosted by Pac-12 programs.

Pac-12 women's soccer teams had a league-record nine teams earn berths to the NCAA Tournament, with a Conference-best seven teams advancing to the second round. Five of the seven remaining teams will hit the road for their second round matchups.

Pac-12 men’s soccer programs finished the regular season with five of six teams ranked in the nation’s top 25, and a league-record five Pac-12 men’s soccer teams earned berths to compete in the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Stanford (13-2-3), undefeated at home all season, clinched its first Conference title since 2001.
