Ten Pac-12 women's volleyball teams are in NCAA tournament action on Friday as three squads aim to advance to the third round and seven more begin their postseason run.

No. 12 UCLA earned itself a second-round matchup against Long Beach State after beating the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds in straight sets (25-23, 25-19, 25-18) at Pauley Pavilion. Karsta Lowe led the Bruins with 11 kills. Zoe Nightingale and Reily Buechler added 10 kills each, and UCLA eeked out the sweep while hitting just .149 on the evening.

With its homecourt advantage, No. 1 Stanford held off Cal State Bakersfield in three sets (25-21, 25-21, 25-18) Friday to earn itself a second-round matchup against Michigan State on Saturday at 7 p.m. PT. The Cardinal used 18 blocks and held the Roadrunners to .049 hitting on the afternoon as Merete Lutz led Stanford with nine blocks and Inky Ajanaku added eight more.

The 30-2 Washington Huskies made quick work of New Hampshire in Alaska Airlines Center, sweeping the Wildcats 25-9, 25-6, 25-18 and hitting .451 as a team. Krista Vansant led UW with 16 kills while hitting .469, and Kaleigh Nelson hit .667 and recorded 12 kills. The victory pushes the Huskies into a second-round game against Hawaii on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. PT. 

ASU couldn't complete a Texas two-step. After beating Texas A&M in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, the Sun Devils fell to the Texas Longhorns in three sets (25-19, 25-20, 25-22) as their season came to an end in the second round of the event. Macey Gardner led Arizona State with 10 kills, but she had nine errors as the Devils couldn't keep pace in three close sets.

Arizona couldn't take advantage of Madi Kingdon's career high of 32 kills, and the BYU Cougars defeated the Wildcats in the second round of the NCAA tournament, winning four sets 25-22, 20-25, 23-25 and 23-25. Coach Dave Rubio's team couldn't keep pace with the Cougars after the first set, but Kingdon's career ends with a bittersweet performance. Her kill count for the match ranks seventh in school history. 

Oregon needed four sets to drop LSU (25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 25-20), and the win sends the Ducks to a Sweet 16 berth where they could face a rematch against fellow Pac-12 power USC if the Trojans can beat North Carolina in the second round. Martenne Bettendorf led the Ducks with 18 kills against the Tigers, while Maggie Scott added 28 assists. The Ducks will be back in action on Dec. 12.

Oregon State defeated Creighton in 3-1 sets (25-21, 26-24, 19-25, 25-21) behind the trio of Amanda Brown, Katelyn Driscoll and Mary-Kate Marshall, all of whom finished with double-digit kills. The first-round NCAA tournament victory in Topeka, Kansas, sets the Beavers up for a Saturday match against the winner between Kansas and Arkansas-Little Rock at 4:30 p.m. PT. 

Needing four sets to down Northern Colorado, the Colorado Buffaloes were led by senior outside hitter Taylor Simpson's 21 kills – her ninth game surpassing 20 kills ties a school record. Nicole Edelman led the Buffs with 25 assists, and CU won in sets of 25-19, 21-15, 24-26 and 25-15 to advance to play in the second round against Colorado State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. PT. With the win, Colorado eclipsed the 20-win mark for the first time since 2003. 

Ebony Nwanebu recorded 17 kills and a .412 hitting percentage, and the USC Trojans advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament with a sweep of Coastal Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. Sophomore Emily Young added 20 assists in the match for USC, which faces North Carolina at 3 p.m. PT Saturday after the Tar Heels swept Hampton to open their tournament. 

Utah held Kansas State to .072 hitting and swept the Wildcats to advance to the second round, where the Utes will face No. 14 Nebraska on Saturday at 5 p.m. PT. Chelsey Schofield-Olsen led the Utes with 11 kills and also added four blocks on the afternoon, while Shelby Dalton and Adora Anae added 10 kills and an identical hitting percentage of .556.
