Oregon football: Darren Carrington saves his best for the Pac-12 Championship Game

Whether it's Marcus Mariota, Jeff Lockie or another quarterback for Oregon coach Mark Helfrich, the Ducks' signal-caller in 2015 will be licking his lips.

Mariota closed out a 51-13 win against Arizona in the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara with plenty on his own shoulders, but the biggest contributor on the other end of the quarterback's passes was freshman Darren Carrington.

The rail-thin 6-2 receiver caught seven balls for 126 yards and a touchdown, which easily qualified for career bests. Carrington was especially a factor when Mariota extended plays, like in the above video. Mariota found Carrington for a 46-yard reception in the third quarter, which set up the next play, an 11-yard touchdown pass to Carrington as he ran along the back of the end zone.

Mariota might end up leaving, but the Ducks seem set in their receiving corps moving forward.
