Roundup: RB Sanders intends to transfer from Stanford

Stanford

Running back Barry J. Sanders will leave Stanford under the graduate transfer rule and could consider playing at his pop's alma mater, Oklahoma State, reports The Oklahoman. Sanders confirmed that he will transfer outside the Pac-12.

Washington

Stanford's Christian McCaffrey's Rose Bowl performance may have broken him out on a national level, but ESPN's David Lombari also gave Washington running back Myles Gaskin a Co-Breakout Performance nod for the bowl season. Gaskin amassed 181 yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries in UW's postseason victory over Southern Miss.

Arizona State

In Pac-12 hockey news, UConn spoiled Arizona State's NCAA Divison I home opener with a 5-2 win over the Sun Devils Tuesday. Freshman Jordan Masters netted two goals for ASU to increase his team-high mark to eight on the season.

Utah

Utah dipped into enemy territory to hire receivers coach Guy Holiday away from rival BYU. The Salt Lake Tribune's Kyle Goon has more, and Holiday has already confirmed the news on his Twitter account

Colorado

Head coach Tad Boyle isn't shaking up the starting lineup despite his Buffaloes suffering from turnover woes of late. Additionally, Colorado is getting closer to learning whether forward Xavier Johnson can return this year after tearing his Achilles, reports Pat Rooney at BuffZone.com.
