National Signing Day doesn't arrive until Wednesday, but on Saturday, the UCLA Bruins family welcomed in perhaps one of its most inspirational "recruits" to the football program.

And though he might be only 9 years old, he's bound to continue making an impact in Westwood.

Cade Spinello, a Bruins fan who's battled a brain tumor, a storke and now blindness, officially inked his "Letter of Intent" this weekend, as announced on Twitter by UCLA Director of Player Personnel Patrick Girardi.

Spinello had emergency surgery to remove a tumor on his brain in 2010, after which he suffered a stroke, according to KABC-TV. He subsequently went blind, but his passion for the Bruins and life brought him and the program together. He's practiced with the team several times, and in September of 2015, he scored a touchdown and was carried off the field by the players.

Two days later, UCLA went to Arizona and won a decisive, nationally-televised game.

"Since that day, we have realized that you are the missing piece on the UCLA football team and want to show our commitment to you," the letter reads. It goes on to ask him to train hard and to keep being the Bruins' "biggest supporter."

In large block letters right under that, it's signed, "CADE."
