Colorado

It’s another full slate of Pac-12 football on Saturday. Ahead of the 21st-ranked Buffs’ game against Arizona State (2 p.m. MT/1 p.m. PT, Pac-12 Networks), Adam Kramer of Bleacher Report features Colorado kicker James Stefanou, the oldest player in FBS at 31 years old.

Arizona State

Stefanou isn’t the only older dude on special teams in this Colorado-ASU game, because Arizona State punter Michael Sleep-Dalton is 26 and is featured by Jeff Metcalfe in this article for The Arizona Republic.

UCLA

Our Ashley Adamson caught up with UCLA running back Joshua Kelley ahead of the Bruins’ game against Washington (4:30 p.m. PT, FOX).

Washington

Now that he has accounted for 100 touchdowns in his collegiate career (86 passing, 14 rushing), Jake Browning recounts his most memorable touchdowns at Washington with the help of Adam Jude.

Oregon State

Oregon State hosts Washington State in the back end of our Pac-12 Networks doubleheader with a 6 p.m. PT kickoff, and Nick Daschel reports that Oregon State running back Artavis Pierce is probable for the Washington State game. Pierce rushed for 259 yards in just five quarters this year before injuring his elbow against Southern Utah, which paved the way for Jermar Jefferson to go bonkers.

Washington State

Here’s another story on Mike Leach’s fake play script for the 1999 Oklahoma-Texas game while he was the offensive coordinator for the Sooners; this one courtesy of Jake Trotter of ESPN. This one goes into more detail and interviews more sources, hence why we’re going with the link.

Arizona

Arizona and Cal will do battle in Tucson at 8 p.m. MT/7 p.m. PT on FS1, and Michael Lev gives us another edition of his “Cats Stats” to look at what makes Arizona a successful offense.

California

Rusty Simmons writes that Cal is getting ready to face a big test from Arizona’s passing game. Not only do the Wildcats have Khalil Tate, but they have some dynamic receivers in Shawn Poindexter and Shun Brown.

Stanford

The late, late start goes down on The Farm with No. 14 Stanford hosting Utah (8:30 p.m. MT/7:30 p.m. PT, ESPN), and Stanford radio sideline reporter (and basically Stanford historian) John Platz recounts all of Stanford football’s success on Oct. 6 – the Cardinal is 6-0 on Oct. 6 in the last 50 years, and all of them have been very memorable games (who could forget the 2007 game at USC?).

Utah

Uh-oh – a 2-year-old shredded his parents’ money for Utah season tickets. Jackee and Ben Belnap had $1,060 in an envelope to pay back Ben’s parents for the season tickets before their son, Leo, put it in the shredder.

Oregon

Yeah, the Ducks don’t play on the gridiron this week, but Ryan Thorburn of The Register-Guard notes that Oregon is already getting ready for its big game against Washington on Oct. 13.

USC

Joey Kaufman looks at where USC football stands as the Trojans enter their bye weekend. Despite a couple of early-season hiccups (that really should have been expected considering who they were playing), the Trojans are still a serious contender for the Pac-12 South.
