Roundup: Laviska Shenault Jr.'s status uncertain for Washington game

Colorado

Colorado is unsure whether or not Laviska Shenault Jr. will play at Washington, Brian Howell reports. Shenault injured his toe in the loss to USC, and Howell notes that the Buffs don't know the severity of the injury yet. In other injury news, defensive lineman Jase Franke is out for the season with a torn ACL (right knee).

Oregon

Ben Kercheval of CBS Sports gives us the heads up that Oregon left tackle Penei Sewell is out for at least six weeks with an ankle injury he suffered in the win over Washington. Sewell, a freshman, had been one of the best performers in the trenches for the Ducks this season.

Arizona

Arizona has uncertainty at quarterback with Khalil Tate hurt, writes Michael Lev. Tate reinjured his sprained left ankle early in the Utah game and didn’t return, paving the way for Rhett Rodriguez and Jamarye Joiner to get more game reps. Head coach Kevin Sumlin has not said who will start at UCLA on Saturday night.

UCLA

UCLA linebacker Jaelan Phillips and running back Soso Jamabo are out for the season with concussions, Kyle Bonagura reports.

Oregon State

Oregon State running back Jermar Jefferson was added to the Doak Walker Award candidate list, it was announced Monday. The true freshman is third in the nation and first in the Pac-12 with 865 rushing yards this season.

Washington State

Washington State Hall of Fame football broadcaster Bob Robertson announced his retirement Monday, effective immediately. Robertson has called Cougar contests for more than 50 years, going on air for 589 games.

USC

Show me the money – Joey Kaufman reports on revenue increases for USC football and the athletic department at large. Total athletic department revenue rose about $3.8 million to $116.9 million for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018.

Stanford

Stanford women’s volleyball outside hitter Kathryn Plummer and libero Morgan Hentz were named Pac-12 Offensive and Defensive Players of the week, respectively, for their work in leading the Cardinal to sweeps over the Washington schools at home. This is the fifth time in six weeks that Hentz has earned the defensive nod; I think I know who will be named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year…

Utah
