Stanford

Some Thursday night action for you in the Conference of Champions with Stanford taking on Arizona State in Tempe (6 p.m. PT, ESPN), and Harold Gutmann of the San Jose Mercury News notes that Stanford has never lost three in a row under David Shaw, which of course could change tonight if the Cardinal falls to the Sun Devils.

Arizona State

And here’s an Arizona State-Stanford scouting report and prediction from Michelle Gardner of the Arizona Republic. She’s got the Card winning this one 35-21.

Washington State

So the College GameDay trucks arrived in Pullman Wednesday afternoon, and based on the response they got by the Cougar faithful, maybe they should come to Pullman more often (CougCenter). This is incredible; big fan of the “Welcome to the promised land” sign.

Arizona

Solid NBA debuts for a couple of Wildcats. Jason Owens of Yahoo Sports details how Deandre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns got the best of Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in the Suns’ 121-100 win over the Mavs. Ayton posted a double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in the win. Also, check out this Allonzo Trier posterization of Taurean Prince of the Atlanta Hawks as part of a 15-point debut for the New York Knicks in a 126-107 win over the Hawks.

Colorado

Colorado wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. gets a Midseason All-America nod from CBS Sports on the offensive side of the ball, while USC linebacker Porter Gustin and Washington linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven earn Midseason All-America honors on defense.

Utah

Citing a Ute Zone (Utah’s 247 Sports affiliate) report, Kurt Kragthorpe tells us that Utah freshman quarterback Jack Tuttle intends to transfer. Nothing is official yet, but a potential Tuttle transfer would be a big loss for the Utes, as Tuttle is considered the most ballyhooed QB recruit in program history.

USC

Looking for a potential 2027 Heisman Trophy winner? Then this link might be for you – former USC head coach and current Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin “offered” a scholarship to Matt Leinart’s 11-year-old son (it’s a Twitter joke, but Cole Leinart does have a nice arm).

Oregon State

Former Oregon State quarterback Derek Anderson will start for the Buffalo Bills against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced Wednesday (ESPN). Buffalo’s rookie QB, Josh Allen, has an elbow sprain and will not play Sunday.

Oregon

The Ducks will be making the trip up to the Palouse this weekend, and Ken Goe writes that Oregon’s defense has to deal with Washington State’s Air Raid and “a festival atmosphere” in Pullman.

California

Cal football is trying to find an offensive spark, writes Rusty Simmons. The Golden Bears had just one play of at least 15 yards in the 37-7 loss to UCLA.

UCLA

Ben Bolch notes that the UCLA defense is getting on track after a rough start to the season. Great job in Berkeley, as noted in the link above.

Washington

Check out this Pac-12 Networks Colorado-Washington football game preview, with Mike Yam and Curtis Conway breakin’ it down.
