This was nothing short of incredible – former Coug Klay Thompson set an NBA record by hitting 14 3-pointers in the Golden State Warriors’ 149-124 win over the Chicago Bulls Monday night (ESPN). Thompson, who entered the game just 5-for-36 from 3-point territory on the season, needed just 24 attempts to knock down the 14 3-pointers and finished with 52 points in only minutes. He’s the only player in NBA history to score 50-plus points in under 30 minutes. And he’s done it twice.

Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert is in concussion protocol, head coach Mario Cristobal announced Monday. Kyle Bonagura goes on to report that Herbert’s status is unknown for the UCLA game on Saturday.
