Arizona State

Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com writes that Arizona State wide receiver N’Keal Harry provided a “glimpse” of what he could do in the USC game with receiving and punt return touchdowns (and an amazing catch). Audio interview with Harry courtesy of the Bickley & Marotta radio show on 98.7 FM is also included.

Colorado

Liz Roscher of Yahoo Sports reports that former Colorado kicker Kate Hnida fell seriously ill as a result of a bad reaction to an antibiotic. Hnida was the first woman to score points in a Division I-A college football game.

Washington State

Theo Lawson produces this feature story on Washington State wide receiver Dezmon Patmon, who has been making quite the name for himself as of late. The junior had a career-high 10 receptions for a career-high 127 yards in the win at Stanford.

California

Speaking of the Cougs, Rusty Simmons writes that “Cal knows it will have its hands full” with Washington State this weekend up in Pullman. Good luck keeping Gardner Minshew and crew out of the end zone.

Utah

Dirk Facer of the Deseret News tells us how Britain Covey has contributed in a variety of ways for Utah football. The wide receiver threw a 58-yard touchdown bomb to quarterback Tyler Huntley and is 3-of-3 passing this season for two touchdowns (he was a high school quarterback, so that helps).

Oregon State

Steve Gress of the Corvallis Gazette Times discusses the connection that is developing between Oregon State quarterback Jake Luton and receiver Isaiah Hodgins. Luton looked Hodgins’ way frequently Saturday in Boulder, with Hodgins catching 11 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns in the thrilling win.

Oregon

Our bad for missing this from Tuesday – former Oregon golfer Aaron Wise was named 2018 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year (Golf.com). The Duck had four top-10 finishes and won the AT&T Byron Nelson.

USC

The top-ranked USC women’s golf team won the East Lake Cup title for the second straight year, defeating Stanford 3-2 in the final (also for the second straight year).

Stanford

Stanford field hockey is hosting the America East Championship Thursday-Sunday, and you can catch all the action on AmericaEast.TV with yours truly on the call for all seven games (#shamelessplug). I know what you’re thinking – yes, Stanford does play in the America East in field hockey. There are only four field hockey schools on the West Coast (Stanford, Cal, Pacific, UC Davis), so they can’t have a full-fledged conference without having a two-division set up (New Hampshire, Albany, Maine, Vermont and UMass Lowell are in the East Division).

UCLA

Thuc Nhi Nguyen lets us know that UCLA wide receiver Theo Howard is climbing the school’s receiving charts (and is just getting started).

Washington

Here is the latest Husky Headlines podcast, featuring your host Adam Jude of The Seattle Times. Our own Yogi Roth is the featured guest.

Arizona

Michael Lev of the Arizona Daily Star goes by the numbers to show why special teams is putting Arizona in position to win games.
