UCLA

In his Wednesday night post for the Bay Area News Group, Jon Wilner outlines how UCLA could still get to the Rose Bowl. It’d take a few steps for the 2-7 Bruins to get there outside of just winning their final three games, but it’s possible.

Washington State

David Kenyon of Bleacher Report takes a look at Washington State’s chances of making the College Football Playoff. It’s probably gonna take more than the Cougs winning out to get into the CFP (root for Oklahoma, Notre Dame and West Virginia to lose, lose and lose some more, and Georgia better not beat Alabama in the SEC title game).

Stanford

‘Tis no surprise that Stanford women’s soccer dominated the Pac-12 year-end awards, with Alana Cook being named Defensive Player of the Year, Jordan DiBiasi earning Midfielder of the Year honors, Catarina Macario getting Forward of the Year laurels and Paul Ratcliffe being named Coach of the Year. The top-seeded Cardinal faces Seattle in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night on The Farm (yours truly on the gostanford.com live stream).

Arizona State

Greg Moore of The Arizona Republic believes that Arizona State star receiver N’Keal Harry should go pro and fans should treat Saturday’s home finale against UCLA as Harry’s last game at Sun Devil Stadium (Harry is a junior).

Oregon

The New York Times highlights Oregon’s Bol Bol as a freshman to watch in college basketball this season. Bol had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in the Ducks’ season-opening 84-57 victory over Portland State Tuesday night.

Arizona

Here’s the Pac-12 Networks recap of Arizona men’s basketball defeating Houston Baptist 90-60 Wednesday night. Brandon Randolph led the way with 25 points for the Wildcats, who improve to 10-0 in season openers under Sean Miller.

Utah

California

With Cal football playing at USC this weekend, Rusty Simmons lets us know that USC head coach Clay Helton is impressed with Cal’s defense this season. One of these teams will become bowl eligible with a win on Saturday.
