Arizona State

Jack Harris of 247Sports’ Sun Devil Source takes a look at Arizona State’s path to winning the Pac-12 South. Here’s the easiest route – beat Oregon and Arizona, and the Sun Devils are going to Santa Clara no matter what else happens.

Utah

Kurt Kragthorpe reminds us that Utah football has a shot at the Pac-12 South title heading into the Colorado game for the first time since 2011, the first year the Utes and Buffs joined the league.

Oregon State

Oregon State men’s soccer earned an NCAA Tournament bid and will host SMU Thursday evening in the first round, it was announced Monday. The Beavers are one of four Pac-12 teams off to the NCAA Tournament alongside Stanford, UCLA and Washington.

Stanford

The Card lost to North Carolina Monday night in Chapel Hill, but Stanford men’s basketball sophomore KZ Okpala was named Pac-12 Player of the Week after averaging 26.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 2.0 steals in leading the Cardinal to wins over Seattle U and UNC Wilmington.

Washington

Here’s the Pac-12 Networks recap of Washington men’s basketball defeating San Diego 66-63, getting a game-high 18 points from Jaylen Nowell.

Colorado

Pat Rooney gives us a game preview of Colorado men’s basketball’s season opener against Drake Tuesday night (catch it at 6 p.m. MT/5 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks).

UCLA

Ben Bolch writes that UCLA’s offensive performance against Arizona State was a look at what could have been for the 2018 season if quarterback Wilton Speight didn’t get hurt so early in the season. The Bruins averaged nearly seven yards per play and had a nice mix of run and pass.

USC

Despite a bad snap that resulted in a Cal safety, Toa Lobendahn will remain USC’s center, head coach Clay Helton said after the 15-14 loss to the Golden Bears. Joey Kaufman has the story.

California

Check out this ESPN feature story on Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff. Once considered a bust during his rookie season (which was a wild rush to judgment), Goff is a potential MVP candidate on one of the best – if not, the best – teams in the NFL.

Arizona

Justin Spears of the Arizona Daily Star tells us how Arizona football used its bye week (a good bit of R&R after starting the season with 10 games in as many weeks). The Wildcats return to action at No. 8 Washington State on Saturday night.

Washington State

Theo Lawson writes that Washington State quarterback Gardner Minshew and coach Mike Leach have an “affinity” for the late actor Burt Reynolds, with Leach paying tribute on Twitter to Reynolds alongside a pic of Leach’s “mustache.”

Oregon

Ken Goe wonders if Oregon football coach Mario Cristobal has a good enough offensive scheme.
