2018 Pac-12 Football Championship Game to feature variety of pre, post and in-game entertainment

SAN FRANCISCO – It all comes down to this as the 2018 Pac-12 Football Championship Game, presented by 76®, takes place this Friday, Nov. 30 at Levi’s Stadium.  Featuring No. 11 Washington vs. No. 17 Utah, a new Pac-12 champion will be crowned as both programs battle for a trip to the 2019 Rose Bowl.  With tickets available at Pac-12.com/tickets, the Conference’s marquee event is set to include several exciting activities for fans inside and outside Levi’s Stadium on Friday, including the following:
 

Pac-12 Plaza
 
  • Faithful Mile – Opening at 2 p.m. PT for all fans, the San Francisco 49ers’ “Faithful Mile” at Levi’s Stadium will be converted into “Pac-12 Plaza” for the Football Championship Game. 
  • School Spirit – The space will provide fans an opportunity to showcase their school pride, interact with multiple Pac-12 partners and witness performances by all 12 school bands, cheerleaders and mascots taking place on stage, beginning at 3:30 p.m. PT.
  • The Trophy – Fans will also enjoy several shareable photo opportunities including an up-close and personal look at the Pac-12 Football Championship trophy.
  • #Pac12FCG – Fans who share their photos with the hashtag #Pac12FCG on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram will have a chance to be feature on the video board at Levi’s Stadium during the game.
  • Pac-12 Partners – Fans visiting Pac-12 Plaza will also be invited to interact with several other on-site activations from Pac-12 partners, including 76®, GEICO, Maui Jim, TikTok and Unifi with its REPREVE Mobile Tour.
Entertainment for all
 
  • Showtime – In-stadium pregame entertainment is set to begin at 4:25 p.m. PT, with fans suggested to find their seats early. 
  • Pac-12 Network – Programming will include a live DJ show as well as Pac-12 Networks’ “Inside Pac-12 Football” pregame show broadcasting live before and after the game from Dignity Health Plaza inside Levi's Stadium.
  • Dr Pepper Halftime Tuition Toss – Halftime entertainment will include the Dr Pepper Tuition Toss where contestants will compete for up to $100,000 in tuition.  Halftime will also include performances by the Utah and Washington marching bands. 
  • 7 Seconds to Catch 6 – During the game, a contestant will compete in this 76® sponsored promotion for a chance at up to $7,600 in gas cards. 
Community Initiatives
 
  • Extra Yard for Teachers – In partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation’s initiative “Extra Yard for Teachers,” the Pac-12 has invited teachers from all over the Bay Area to enjoy the game.  In addition, several teachers will participate in the flag presentation prior to kickoff.
  • $10,000 Awarded – Also, during the game, the Pac-12 will award $10,000 for the CFP Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers on the field during a quarter break.
  • First Responders – Following the recent wildfires in Northern California, the Pac-12 will host over 100 firefighters from around the Bay Area, including Butte County Fire Department, along with their families.  Throughout the game, the Pac-12 will honor those who were affected and those who fought the fires, including recognition as GEICO Hometown Heroes. 
  • Text to Give – In conjunction with the College Football Playoff Foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers initiative, the Pac-12 will be activating “Text to Give” campaigns throughout Levi’s Stadium as those in attendance can donate $10 by texting “TEACHER” to 20222 to support grants for educators affected by the California wildfires.  

National Anthem
 
  • Zina Ellis – Performing the National Anthem prior to the start of the game will be Zina Ellis, star of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” performing at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts through Sunday. 
Gate Times and Information
 
  • Parking lots open at 1 p.m. PT while Pac-12 Plaza opens at 2 p.m. PT.
  • All Levi’s Stadium entrances open at 3 p.m. PT.

The championship game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara for the fifth consecutive year and will kick off at 5 p.m. PT on Friday, Nov. 30.  Tickets are available at Pac-12.com/tickets or at the Levi’s Stadium box office.
 
A special hour-long edition of "Inside Pac-12 Football: Football Championship Pregame," presented by Audi, with Mike Yam, Nigel Burton and Yogi Roth, and reporters Lewis Johnson and Jill Savage will air live on-site from Levi’s Stadium at 4 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network. The game itself will air on FOX at 5 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. MT, followed by “Inside Pac-12 Football: Football Championship Postgame" on Pac-12 Network.
