Utah

Kurt Kraghtorpe wonders if Utah can “flip the script” on Washington in the Pac-12 Football Championship Game after blowing their chances against the Dawgs in a 21-7 September loss in Salt Lake City.

Washington

Pac-12 North champion Washington jumped to No. 11 in the latest College Football Playoff Top 25, with Washington State dropping to No. 13 and Utah standing pat at No. 17.

USC

USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin will not return next season, it was announced Tuesday (CBS Sports on the link). Defensive backs coach Kenechi Udeze and quarterbacks coach Bryan Ellis will also not be returning.

Washington State

Washington State quarterback Gardner Minshew and left tackle Andre Dillard will play at the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, Theo Lawson reports.

Oregon

Steve Mims of The Register-Guard puts his prognosticator hat on and writes that Oregon football will likely play its bowl game on New Year’s Eve, be it the Holiday Bowl or Redbox Bowl.

Arizona State

Meanwhile, The Arizona Republic gives us a survey of national projections for Arizona State bowl games. The Sun Bowl and Las Vegas Bowl appear to be the two most likely options.

Stanford

The Pac-12 year-end awards for women’s volleyball were announced Tuesday, and it was pretty much all Stanford – outside hitter Kathryn Plummer was named Pac-12 Player of the Year, Jenna Gray was named Setter of the Year and Morgan Hentz was named Libero of the Year… all of them for the second straight season. Meanwhile, Kevin Hambly was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year.

Oregon State

Nick Daschel gives us a statistical breakdown of the Oregon State women’s basketball season so far. The Beavs, who have already beat 2017 NCAA champion South Carolina and gave 2018 NCAA champ and top-ranked Notre Dame all it could handle, are second in the Pac-12 and 13th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage (they hit a whopping 41.1 percent of their 3-point attempts).

Arizona

Norma Gonzalez of the Arizona Daily Star gives us the game story from Arizona women’s basketball’s 84-42 win over Incarnate Word. The roster has been whittled down due to recent transfers, but that hasn’t stopped the Wildcats from dominating inferior non-conference competition.

UCLA

Ben Bolch gives us this story on UCLA men’s basketball’s Jaylen Hands developing into a “pass-first” point guard for the Bruins.

California

The Big Game is on its way Saturday, and Rusty Simmons helps break a player’s dark secret – Cal wide receiver Ray Hudson used to be a Stanford fan. Hopefully the Cal faithful can forgive him for that as the sixth-year receiver gets ready to play the Cardinal for the final time.

Colorado

Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated gives us some names to consider for the Colorado football coaching search.
