SAN FRANCISCO – Today, 76® and the Pac-12 announced an extension of its Pac-12 Football Championship Game presenting sponsorship that will see the retail gas brand continue as presenting sponsor through the 2019 Football Championship Game. Originally announced as the first ever presenting sponsor of the Pac-12 title game in 2016, today’s announcement continues a multi-year agreement between 76 and the Pac-12.

“The Pac-12 Football Championship Game is the pinnacle of our annual conference football season, and we are thrilled that 76 sees the value in this great event and will be continuing as our presenting sponsor,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott.  “76 is a leading brand and has been a fantastic marketing partner for the Pac-12 Football Championship Game, helping to drive interest and excitement around the game through their retail, television and online promotions.”

“76 is proud to continue our sponsorship of the Pac-12 Football Championship Game,” said Rod Palmer, general manager, Branded Marketing for Phillips 66. “76 and the Pac-12 are committed to high-quality performance – on the road and on the field. We’re pleased to help bring the fans another exciting championship matchup of Pac-12 football.”

In addition to serving as presenting sponsor of the Pac-12 Football Championship Game, the Pac-12 and 76 have also collaborated on fan promotions throughout the Bay Area and West Coast leading up to the event. The comprehensive plan has also included 76 as presenting sponsor of premiere football programming on Pac-12 Networks, including “The Pregame” this season as the new hour-long pregame show traveled to all 12 campuses this year.

The extension follows recently announced new and expanded partnerships for the Pac-12 with Audi, Comcast, Cox Communications, Dr Pepper, Jack in the Box, Nike, Shoowin and Unifi. Other partners of the 2018 Pac-12 Football Championship Game also include Gatorade, GEICO, Maui Jim, Opus Bank and PrimeSport.
