2019 in photos: The year's top moments around the Pac-12

As the calendar turns to 2020, we couldn't help but look back at 2019 one last time. From another haul of NCAA titles to the sweet feeling of setting a record, 2019 had a little bit of everything in the Pac-12.

OSU star goes 1-1: Adley Rutschman is selected No. 1 overall by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2019 MLB Draft during a gathering with friends and family. The catcher became the first Beaver in program history to be selected first overall.

Stanford Women's Swimming & Diving Champs

Tree-peat, so sweet: Stanford took home its third straight NCAA title in women's swimming and diving with a victory in Austin, Texas. The Cardinal became the first school to win three in a row since Auburn did so from in 2002-04.

Miss Val's gigantic legacy in Westwood: The Bruins dedicated their floor to the legendary gymnastics coach who spent 29 years at the helm of one of the nation's elite gymnastics programs. Stanford hoisted the NCAA men's gymnastics trophy with a big showing on the final rotation. The Cardinal edged out four-time defending champion Oklahoma in a down-to-the-wire victory.

Queen of women's basketball: Sabrina Ionescu cemented her spot as the top women's basketball student-athlete in the country, guiding the Ducks to their first Final Four and winning an array of National Player of the Year trophies.

National title on PKs: Stanford goalkeeper Katie Meyer and forward Sophia Smith embraced on the turf following the Cardinal's thrilling NCAA title in women's soccer. Stanford won on penalty kicks just 30 minutes from The Farm in San Jose, California.

Arizona's poetic end: Adia Barnes energized the Wildcat fanbase and helped the program draw monstrous crowds during a deep WNIT title run. After the dust settled and the 'Cats beat Northwestern in front of 14,644 fans, Barnes, an Arizona alum, cherished cutting down the nets at McKale Center.

WSU's historic NCAA Tournament run: The Cougars reached the College Cup for the first time in school history. Morgan Weaver's foot 10 goals in Washington State's final eight games played a big role in the historic season, which won't soon be forgotten in Pullman.

Freshman with poise: After JT Daniels and Matt Finks both went down with injuries, quarterback Kedon Slovis stepped into the spotlight for USC football. He dazzled as a true freshman with a 71.9% completion mark, including a monster 515-yard performance against rival UCLA which set the school record for passing yards in a game. Slovis was voted the 2019 Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year after his breakout season.

PVD comes up clutch: Parker Van Dyke and his Runnin' Utes teammates celebrated an unforgettable come-from-behind win over UCLA at Pauley Pavilion. Van Dyke hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in the 93-92 Utah win.

60-match win streak no more: Arizona State wrestling topped Penn State, the nation's No. 1 team, during a meet which had a record-breaking 8,522 fans in attendance. The win snapped Penn State's remarkable 60-match winning streak, which dated back to 2015.
