A thrilling Civil War series tips off this Friday in Eugene, and the iconic rivalry isn't the only thing to get excited about. Since February 2011, Oregon State has primarily had the upperhand over Oregon, but the stars have aligned for the Ducks this season. Both Oregon and Oregon State enter this matchup ranked in the top 10 of the AP weekly poll.

Following a historic weekend in the Bay Area, grabbing a win at Maples Pavilion for the first time since 1987, the No. 3 Ducks fly back home to Eugene to take on a familiar foe in Oregon State, looking to remain perfect in conference play.

With a talented group of student-athletes — led by Sabrina Ionescu, who scored 54 total points in last weekend's sweep of the Bay Area schools to nab Pac-12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Monday, and Satou Sabally, the Ducks' scoring leader since conferece play began at 20 points per game — UO has plenty in its arsenal for this weekend's series.

But that doesn't mean Friday's matchup will be a cakewalk for the Ducks.

Despite dropping its game against Stanford, 61-44, at Maples, Oregon State found redemption in Berkeley, edging out Cal 82-74 on Sunday.

The No. 9 Beavers (20-4, 10-2) pack a punch under the leadership of Destiny Slocum, who was named to the Naismith Trophy Midseason watch list on Monday and joins Ionescu as a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman point guard award. The redshirt sophomore leads the team with 16.9 points per game and 120 assists on the year, helping lift OSU to its sixth straight season with 20 wins.

If you're not able to make game one in Eugene, which is officially sold out, there are plenty of ways to take in all the rivalry action.
