Yogi Roth and Kate Scott sign multi-year extensions with Pac-12 Networks

SAN FRANCISCO – Pac-12 Networks today announced the multi-year contract extensions of Yogi Roth and Kate Scott, two accomplished and well-respected members of its on-air talent roster.

“Yogi and Kate are integral parts of the Pac-12 Networks team and we are thrilled they will continue contributing to our broadcasts,” said Pac-12 Networks President Mark Shuken. “As one of the leading voices on Pac-12 football, Yogi’s deep knowledge, energy and enthusiasm are the signature characteristics he brings to every broadcast. Kate has been and continues to be a pioneer in the field of sportscasting and we are honored to have her on so many different broadcasts across the Conference of Champions.”

As a media personality, storyteller and former USC football coach and collegiate student-athlete, Roth brings a unique perspective along with a career of accolades and genuine love of the game to Pac-12 Networks. His multi-dimensional resume touches all aspects of broadcast media, ranging from football analysis with Pac-12 Networks to his work as a filmmaker, podcaster and New York Times best-selling author. During his tenure as an accomplished coach for USC football, he earned his master’s in communication management from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Roth also currently serves as a consistent voice on all Pac-12 campuses, speaking to students around the concept of storytelling.

“Since day one, I’ve believed in the vision of Pac-12 Networks and, along with my colleagues, have embraced the opportunity to take fans deeper into our teams, their strategies and the stories within each roster than any other network,” said Roth. “I love this game and I love putting on the headset every week, representing the best of Pac-12 football. For the Pac-12 Networks to offer me the opportunity to continue sharing the stories and insights within this historic conference is a gift for which I am incredibly thankful.”

Kate Scott plays a versatile role at Pac-12 Networks, serving as an anchor, reporter, play-by-play announcer and host across multiple sports, all year long. In 2017, Scott made history by becoming the first woman to serve as a play-by-play announcer for a regular season football game on Pac-12 Networks, continuing the trail she initially blazed as the first woman to call an NFL game on the radio when she handled play-by-play duties for the San Francisco 49ers during the 2016 preseason. Scott is also an Emmy Award-winning reporter and play-by-play announcer for the NBC Sports Network and host of the new Bay Area sports podcast, "The Update," on The Athletic podcast network.

"As a Pac-12 alum, calling games for my alma mater and the rest of this incredible conference has been a dream come true," said Scott. "I am grateful for the opportunities Pac-12 Networks has given me to pursue my passion and shine a light on some of the most impressive student-athletes and programs in the country."
