SAN FRANCISCO The Pac-12 Conference announced today its 2020 football schedule that pairs a competitive nine-game Conference schedule with a non-conference slate that includes eight contests against five different FBS teams that won 10 or more games during the 2019 season, plus FCS champion North Dakota State and its perfect 16-0 record.

In addition, the 2020 schedule includes 15 games against teams who won eight or more games last season, with five games against teams that finished the 2019 season ranked among the Top 20 - CFP semifinalist No. 3 Ohio State, No. 8 Alabama, No. 12 Notre Dame (twice) and No. 18 Michigan.

A total of 17 games will be against teams who participated in the 2019 bowl season, while the 2020 docket features four games against the Big 12, two more against the Big Ten, Notre Dame and BYU, and one against the SEC.

The 2020 football season is set to open on Saturday, August 29, as ARIZONA hosts Hawai’i, UCLA entertains New Mexico State and CALIFORNIA travels to UNLV for the first college game to be played in Las Vegas’ new Allegiant Stadium, site of the 2020 Pac-12 Football Championship Game.

Week one will feature seven Power 5 opponents who combined to go 61-43 (.586) last season (BYU at UTAH, OREGON STATE at Oklahoma State, USC vs. Alabama, Michigan at WASHINGTON, UCLA at Hawai’i, COLORADO at Colorado State, TCU at CALIFORNIA, WASHINGTON STATE at Utah State), plus FCS Champion North Dakota State at OREGON.

Pac-12 play gets started in week two as STANFORD visits ARIZONA, while defending Pac-12 Champion OREGON hosts defending Big Ten Champion Ohio State in what could be a matchup between a pair of Top 10 ranked teams.

In keeping with tradition, Conference rivalry games will be played over the last two weeks of the season, followed by the Pac-12 Football Championship Game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev., on Friday, December 4.

The schedule includes seven Friday Conference games and one Thursday Conference game. The road team for the Friday game is assured of a home game the preceding Saturday, while both teams playing on Thursday will have a bye the preceding Saturday. All 12 Conference teams will make an appearance on either Thursday or Friday during the 2020 Conference season.

A combination of the ESPN channels, ABC, FOX and FOX Sports 1 will broadcast 45 games nationally, including the Pac-12 Championship Game, and Pac-12 Networks will offer 35 games to a national audience. Exact broadcast schedules will be determined at a later date.
