• Entering the midway point of Pac-12 play, league teams have faced some of the toughest schedules in the country in just their last eight games. Nine Pac-12 teams have faced a league schedule where half of their opponents have been against top-20 ranked teams, and seven teams have played at least five league games against opponents with a RPI of 50 or better. All but two have played seven games against top-RPI 100 teams. The Pac-12 boasts the No. 1 Conference RPI.

• For the third week in a row, the Pac-12 has six teams ranked in the polls with four of them appearing in the top 10. OREGON inched up to No. 3 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/WBCA Coaches polls. STANFORD stayed at No. 6/6, UCLA moved up to No. 8/9 and OREGON STATE slipped to No. 10/10. Earning its highest AP ranking since Feb. 14, 2000, ARIZONA is at No. 16/17 after sweeping ARIZONA STATE in the regular season for the first time since 2000, while ASU remains in the top 20 at No. 19/20.

• Top-25 clashes in the desert highlights the league slate as UCLA faces the Wildcats and Sun Devils on Friday and Sunday, respectively. Both games will be televised on Pac-12 Networks. The week’s action wraps up with a non-conference, top-five clash between Oregon and No. 4/4 Connecticut in Storrs, Conn., for a Big Monday game on ESPN2.

• With just one non-conference game still remaining on the schedule (Oregon at Connecticut), every Pac-12 team ended the non-conference portion of the regular-season season with a winning record, posting at least seven wins. The Pac-12 boasts the best non-conference winning percentage in the country at .838 (114-22).

• Oregon’s Sabrina Ionescu is the Pac-12 Player of the Week for the second-straight week and third time this season after leading the Ducks to their first Civil War sweep since 2010. For the second-straight week, a USC newcomer takes the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week. Endyia Rogers was tabbed the top freshman after posting back-to-back 20-point games.

• Attendance figures at last week’s historic rivalry games lends to the national importance of the matchups. Both ends of the Civil War series were sold-out affairs in Eugene (12,364) and Corvallis (9,301). In Tucson, 10,160 fans showed up for the Territorial Cup finale, the first such meeting in which both teams were ranked in the top 25.

• Ionescu moved up to No. 7 in NCAA women’s basketball history with 950 career assists. She is looking to become just the fifth women’s player all-time with 1,000 assists. The only women’s player with 2,000 points, 900 rebounds and 900 assists, she passed Hall of Famer and Oregon State great Gary Payton (938) to become the Pac-12’s men’s and women’s all-time assists leader. She is on pace to become the first men’s or women’s player in NCAA history with 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists.

• ASU’s longtime head coach Charli Turner Thorne is looking for career win No. 500. She has been in Tempe for 23 years but career spans 26 years.

ROAD TO NEW ORLEANS
Teams across the country will be focused on getting to New Orleans this season, the site of the 2020 NCAA Women’s Final Four on April 3 and 5. To get to New Orleans, teams will have to go through regional sites in Greenville, S.C., Fort Wayne, Ind., Portland, Ore., and Dallas, Texas. Oregon State hosts the Portland Regional for the second year in a row from March 27-March 30, 2020, with specific dates to be announced. The first and second round of the tournament will take place on 16 campus sites with the top-16 seeds hosting, March 19-22, 2020.. The top 64 teams will learn their fates in the broadcast of the annual selection show on Monday, March 16, 2020.
