SAN FRANCISCO - Four teams remain undefeated heading into week 3 of the early conference season.

• #5 UCLA looks to bounce back from GymDawgs loss with the GymCats coming into Pauley Pavillion.

• Seven Pac-12 teams ranked in the Top 25.

• Four or more teams ranked in each events’  National Top 25.

• The #3 ranked Utah takes the show to Berkeley in a battle of high scoring teams.

• #11 GymDawgs get back to business in the Bay Area with a visit to the Farm against Stanford.

• ASU and #22  OSU welcomes #9 LSU into Corvallis for a trio meet

PAC-12 TEAM NOTES

ARIZONA - The GymCats hosted the Utes this past weekend. They fell short in the end, 197.300-195.975. The GymCats posted a season-best 49.100 on the uneven bars. Three GymCats earned season-high marks and Christina Berg won Athlete of the meet. The GymCats take their talents on the road in back-to-back meets at UCLA on Sunday, February 9 and at Washington on Saturday, February 15.

ARIZONA STATE - The SunDevils handled business in the desert earning a second consecutive win over the #10 California in Tempe. The SunDevils scored 49.000 points or more on the vault, bars, and floor, the first time this season they have surpassed that mark in one or more events. This victory marked the first time since 2014 the SunDevils have captured a victory over a top 10 team.      

CALIFORNIA - The Golden Bears battled to the brink against the SunDevils in the desert. They fell short of the victory but the Golden Bears picked up four out of five event titles in the evening. Kyana George had a spectacular performance in the all-around earning her the crown and a new career-best 39.475. Nevaeh DeSouza, Emi Watterson and Talitha Jones performed well also. Each earning career or season-best marks.

OREGON STATE - The #25 ranked Beavers posted their season-best score in route to the victory over Stanford, 196.825-194.575. The Beavers captured three titles Sunday afternoon. Lacy Dagan, Madi Dagan and Isis Lowery notched career-best marks on the balance beam, vault  and floor exercise respectively. The Beavers look to welcome conference foe Arizona and #9 ranked LSU into Corvallis this Saturday, February 8.

STANFORD - The Cardinals were handed another loss in conference. The short-handed Cardinals battled the Beavers in Gill Coliseum. This gave way to the vault debut for Morgan Hoang. Hoang gave the Cards a boost with her score of 9.850 which was the team’s best mark on that apparatus. Kyla Bryant earned the title in the all-around with a score of 39.425.

UCLA - The Bruins lights-out performance on the floor wasn’t enough to get them past #11 ranked Washington. Senior Gracie Kramer earned her first perfect 10 in the event. The Bruins were exceptional on the bars and floor edging the GymDawgs by tenths of a point after those events. Nia Dennis and Kyla Ross tied for first on the uneven bars. Ross won the all-around for the fifth consecutive meet.

UTAH -  The Utes traveled to the desert and came out victorious against the GymCats, 197.300-195.975. The Utes showed that their greatness does translate from practice to competition. The Utes started off the competition on bars and Maile O’Keefe and Emilie LeBlanc earned back-to-back 9.80 marks in that rotation. Sydney Soloski claimed the vault and floor title. With the victory, the Utes remain undefeated in Tucson (15-0).

WASHINGTON - The GymDawgs went into Pauley Pavillion and made History in their first-ever victory at UCLA. The 196.700-196.250 victory marks the fourth time the GymDawgs have taken down the Bruins. Kristyn Hoffa and Maya Washington led the way on the floor with scores of 9.950 and 9.925 respectively. The contributions from sophomore sensations Hannah Vandenkolk and Meaghan Ruttan as they earned career-highs on beam.
