Pac-12 announces tennis players of the week

Pac-12 Men’s Tennis Player of the Week: Filip Malbasic, Jr., Arizona (Stockholm, Sweden)
• Helped No. 23 Arizona improve to 9-1 on the season after sweeping UC Santa Barbara (7-0) last week.
• No. 76 Malbasic defeated No. 8 Joseph Guillin of UCSB in straight sets in singles competition (7-5, 7-5).
•  At the No. 1 position with partner Igor Karpovets, took down Gauchos Victor Krustev and Joseph Rotheram (6-2).
• Malbasic has an 8-2 singles record, and a 7-1 doubles record so far this season.
• Earns his first-career Pac-12 Tennis player of the week honor, Arizona's fifth all-time honor.

Pac-12 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week: Sasha Vagramov, Fr., UCLA (Port Moody, BC, Canada)
• Clinched all three of UCLA’s wins as it nearly earned its first ITA National Team Indoors title since 2014, before falling to No. 2 North Carolina in the finals.
• Logged victories over Emilee Duong of host Illinois (6-1, 6-3), Andrea Garcia of No. 9 Florida State (6-0, 6-4) and Emma Higuchi of No. 1 Stanford (6-3, 6-3) at the No. 6 position in singles.
• The Bruin’s win over the defending NCAA champion Cardinal in the semifinals marked their first in the series since March 21, 2015.
• Vagramov remains unbeaten in her dual-match career, holding a 6-0 singles record and a 3-0 doubles mark.
• The freshman earns her first-career weekly award, and the 27th all-time weekly nod for the Bruins.
