SAN FRANCISCO - For the first time in program history, OREGON claims back-to-back-to-back Pac-12 women’s basketball regular-season title and, for the third-straight year, clinched the No. 1 seed in the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament presented by New York Life. The tournament takes place Thursday-Sunday, March 5-8 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. UCLA, STANFORD and ARIZONA earned a top-four seed and a first-round bye, as well. The Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament will be in Las Vegas for the second-straight year, moving to Mandalay Bay Events Center. Single-session tickets can be purchased at pac-12.com/tickets and range from $16 (additional fee may apply), as well as All-Tournament passes beginning at $105 (additional fee may apply). Picked to win the Pac-12 crown in the preseason, the third-ranked Ducks went 17-1 in league play and take a 16-game winning streak to Las Vegas. Oregon entered today’s game as the nation’s top-scoring team, averaging 85.8 points per game, also leading the country with the best shooting percentage (50.8) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.86). The Ducks are led by the 2019 Wade Trophy and Wooden Award winner Sabrina Ionescu, who became the first player in NCAA history to amass 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists.

The 12-team tournament tips off with fifth-seeded and No. 24th-ranked ARIZONA STATE (10-8) facing 12th-seeded CALIFORNIA (3-15). The Sun Devils won 10 league games for the third-straight year. Under the direction of first-year head coach Charmin Smith, the Golden Bears capped the regular-season with a top-15 upset of Arizona for Cal’s first road win over a ranked opponent since 2015.

UTAH is the No. 8 seed after posting a 6-12 league and faces ninth-seeded Washington (5-13) in the first round. The Huskies are the ninth seed by virtue of the tie-breaker rule. A rematch of the final regular-season game between USC (8-10) and COLORADO (5-13) is slated for the third game of the first round. The Trojans are the No. 7 seed and the Buffs come in at the No. 10 seed. Wrapping up Day One will be another rematch of today’s games, pitting sixth-seeded and 17th-ranked OREGON STATE (10-8) and WASHINGTON STATE after both teams clashed on the final day of the regular season.

Quarterfinal day begins with the winner of the ASU-Cal matchup facing fourth-seeded ARIZONA on Friday, March 6. The Wildcats went 12-6 in league play, their most Conference wins since the 2003-04 campaign, earning a first-round bye for the first time since 2011. The Ducks open their postseason against the winner of the Utah-Washington game, followed by No. 2-seed UCLA (14-4) taking on the winner of the USC-Colorado game. It is the Bruins’ highest seed since 2011. Defending tournament champion STANFORD (14-4) is the No. 3 seed by virtue of the tie-breaker rule, and closes out the second day of tournament action against the winner of the OSU-WSU game.

Games tip off on Thursday and Friday at 11:30 a.m. PT with four games on each of the days. The semifinal games on Saturday, March 7 are slated for 6 p.m. PT and 8:30 p.m. PT. The first 10 games of the tournament will be televised on the Conference’s Pac-12 Networks. The champion will be crowned during in final game on Sunday, March 8 and will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
