SAN FRANCISCO — The Pac-12 Conference office announced today that UCLA's Matt McLain was named Pac-12 Player of the Week and fellow Bruin Zach Pettway was tabbed Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week.

Pac-12 Baseball Player of the Week: Matt McLain, So., SS, UCLA (Tustin, Calif)
4 GP, .429 AVG., .455 OBP, .667 SLG, 8 RBI, 6 R, 9 H, 1 BB
• Keyed then-No. 8 UCLA's offense in a 4-0 week as the Bruins topped Pepperdine at home (8-2), then then-No. 16 Oklahoma State (8-1), Texas A&M (10-2) and Illinois (14-1) to remain undefeated this season. 
• Named the Frisco College MVP after going 8-17 in the tournament with a home run and seven RBIs to help the Bruins outscore their opponents 40-6.
• Notched a career-high four hits and matched his career-high with four RBIs on Sunday versus Illinois to help maintain his triple crown team lead (.417 avg., 3 HR, 17 RBIs).
• This marks the first-career player of the week award for McLain, UCLA’s 80th all-time nod.

• Tossed seven shutout innings against No. 16 Oklahoma State on Friday night as UCLA won its Frisco College Classic opener 8-1, to help the Bruins maintain their perfect season record (11-0).
• Gave up only two hits and walked just one, just his first walk of the season.
• Lowered his season ERA to 0.92 and earned a win while facing the Cowboys to move to 2-0 this season.
• Pettway earns his second-consecutive and second-career Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week honor, UCLA’s 81st all-time.
