OREGON heads into the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament as the No. 1 seed for the third-consecutive year. The 19th-annual event takes place March 5-8 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. All 11 games will be televised with the first three days of action broadcast on Pac-12 Networks and the championship game on Sunday televised on ESPN2.

• ARIZONA, STANFORD and UCLA join the Ducks as the top-four seeds, earning first-round byes. The Bruins earn a bye for the fifth-straight year, earning its highest seeding since 2011. That year is also the last time the Wildcats were in the top-four in the league standings. The Cardinal continues its streak of never playing in the first round.

• For the first time in tournament history, six teams are ranked in the top 25 heading into the event. The Ducks continue to be ranked No. 3/3 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/WBCA Coaches polls, receiving at least one first-place vote in each poll. Also ranked in the top 10 are No. 7/8 Stanford and No. 7/8 UCLA. Arizona and Oregon State appear in the top 15, coming in at No. 13/14 and No. 14/15, respectively. ARIZONA STATE rounds out the Conference’s ranked teams at No. 24/25.

• In the NCAA women’s basketball committee’s second Top-16 reveal of the season, the Pac-12 again had five teams included. If the season had ended on Monday, March 2, Oregon would be the No. 3 overall seed and No. 1 in the Portland Region. Stanford was tabbed the No. 7 seed, UCLA the No. 8 seed, Arizona the No. 14 seed and Oregon State the No. 15 seed. Top 16 seeds earn the right to host NCAA Tournament.

• Oregon senior Sabrina Ionescu was voted the Pac-12 Player of the Year for the third-consecutive year. She is the first in league history to claim the honor three-straight year and the second to win it three times. USC forward Alissa Pili was voted the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, the first Trojan in 10 years to win the award. Arizona’s Aari McDonald was voted the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and the Ducks’ Taylor Chavez was tabbed Pac-12 Sixth Player of the Year. For the second-straight year, Oregon’s Kelly Graves was voted the Pac-12 Coach of the Year.

• The Pac-12 has the most semifinalist for the Naismith Trophy with four. Oregon leads all schools with three on the list, including Ionescu, Ruthy Hebard and Satou Sabally, this week’s Pac-12 Player of the Week. Arizona’s Aari McDonald was also on the 10-player list released today by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
