THIS WEEK IN PAC-12 SOFTBALL 
• Five Pac-12 softball teams are ranked in the top-20 of the USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll, including three in the top-4. For the fourth-consecutive week, No. 1 UCLA is atop the poll, followed by No. 2 WASHINGTON and No. 4 ARIZONA. Next is No. 9 OREGON and No. 15 ARIZONA STATE. STANFORD (36) and UTAH (23) all received votes.

• UCLA leads the country in win-loss percentage (.962), boasting a 25-1 record. The top three win-loss percentages in NCAA Division I softball come from the Pac-12 with Washington in second (.920) and Oregon in third (.913). Two teams join in the top-10 with No. 7 Arizona (.875) and No. 9 Stanford (.846).

• The Conference boasts a 177-43 (.805) overall record, going 3-2 against ranked opponents last weekend. UCLA topped three ranked teams, including then-No. 16 Michigan, No. 18 Minnesota and No. 22 UCF.

• UCLA’s Lexi Sosa pitched the first UCLA perfect game since 2008 on Saturday in a win over Boston University (10-0). It also marked the 18th perfect game in Bruin history. 

• UCLA becomes the first team to sweep multiple Pac-12 Player of the Week awards in the same season since the addition of the weekly freshman award in 2015. The Bruins swept the awards (Player, Pitcher and Freshman) on Feb. 11 and Mar. 10.

THE WEEK AHEAD
As early non-conference matchups wind down, Washington hosts Team USA on Thursday at 6 p.m. Conference play starts Friday as all Pac-12 teams, with the exception of Stanford, compete in three-game series.

CALIFORNIA hosts Oregon, Arizona hosts OSU, Washington hosts Utah and UCLA hosts ASU. The #1 Bruins and the #15 Sun Devils will be the first ranked Conference matchup of the season.

NATIONAL STAT LEADERS
Three Pac-12 teams’ batting averages rank in the top-10 with UCLA second (.368), Washington third (.365), Oregon eighth (.350). In the top-20, ASU joins in 13th (.355) and Stanford in 19th (.325). 

Five Pac-12 teams are ranked in the top-20 in earned run average with UCLA second (1.20), OREGON STATE seventh (1.49), Stanford eighth (1.51), Oregon 12th (1.70) and Arizona 14th (1.74).

Three teams are ranked in the top-5 in on-base percentage with UCLA ranked first (.453), Washington second (.447) and ASU sixth (.446). Oregon joins the top-15 at 13th (.428). All four teams are also ranked in the top-10 in scoring.

The Pac-12 has six players in the top 25 for RBI, with Washington’s Baylee Klingler leading the Conference in fifth with 33 RBI in 25 games played. ASU’s Kindra Hackbarth, Washington’s Klingler and Cal’s Makena Smith are tied for seventh in the nation in hits, with 37 apiece. 

UCLA leads the nation in shutouts with 13, ASU is second (12) and Stanford seventh (9). Oregon, OSU and Arizona are tied for 20th with seven shutouts each, respectively. OSU’s Mariah Mazon leads the nation in shoutouts with six, and the Pac-12 adds four pitchers in the top-20 in shutouts. UCLA’s Megan Faraimo has the second-most strikeouts in the nation with 149 and OSU’s Mazon is in fifth with 130.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Delanie Wisz, Jr., INF, UCLA (Orcutt, Calif.)

• Helped No. 1 UCLA to six wins over the week, including No. 16 Michigan, No. 18 Minnesota and No. 22 UCF.
• On Thursday against Michigan, had an RBI double to put the Bruins up 2-0, which would end up being the final score.
• In the Bruins’ Friday victory over No. 22 UCF (4-2), hit a three-run homerun in the first inning, which proved to be the game-winning run.
• Knocked out a grand slam in the fourth inning to break a scoreless tie on Saturday against No. 18 Minnesota, which proved to be the game's only runs.
• First-career weekly honor and UCLA’s 164th all-time.

• In two games in the circle, picked up two wins against ranked teams, shutting out No. 16 Michigan (2-0) and No. 18 Minnesota (4-0).
• Struckout 11 batters in a five-hit shutout of the Wolverines on Thursday. Added 13 strikeouts in seven innings on Saturday versus Minnesota, allowing only two hits.
• Has nine double-figure strikeout games in just 14 contests this season.
• Third time this season/career receiving weekly honor and UCLA’s 165th all-time.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Lexi Sosa, Fr., P/UTIL, UCLA (Carmel Valley, Calif.)
3 GP, 4 AB, 3 hits, 5 RBI, .750 avg ; 3 app, 11.0 IP, 15 K, 0.00 ERA
• Pitched the first UCLA perfect game since 2008 and 18th in team history on Saturday in a win over Boston University (10-0), retiring all 15 batters she faced and striking out six.
• Recorded a win against St. John's (9-0) on Tuesday, pitching 11 scoreless innings over three games with 15 strikeouts.
• Allowed only two hits and three walks over three contests.
• Added three hits and five RBI while hitting her first collegiate home run against Boston U.
• First career weekly honor.
