SAN FRANCISCO - Former Arizona Wildcat, eight-time NBA Champion and current Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr joins the “Pac-12 Perspective” podcast, presented by Nike, available now wherever fans get their podcasts.

Kerr chats with hosts Ashley Adamson and Yogi Roth about ESPN’s new docu-series, “The Last Dance,” and discusses Michael Jordan’s everlasting impact on the sport:

“You hear the stories and you read the stats, and you can look at the number of rings. None of it begins to explain his dominance,” said Kerr. “There was a tangible feeling on the floor every single night that Michael had everybody intimidated… we were all just subjects and he was lording over the proceedings."

The former All-American also discusses his friendship with former USC football head coach Pete Carroll, and how the two came together to launch their own podcast, “Flying Coach,” which raises money to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Kerr reflects on some of his coaching mentors, including Phil Jackson, Lute Olson and Gregg Popovich, and how they influenced his championship-winning coaching style.

A portion of Kerr’s video interview will also air this Thursday on “Pac-12 Playlist,” presented by New York Life, at 7 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network.

Pac-12 Perspective,” presented by Nike, will be available every morning, Monday through Friday, wherever fans get their podcasts, and on Pac-12.com.
