Two Bruins Survive Cut at U.S. Women’s Amateur

Two UCLA golfers survived the 36-hole cut at the 113th U.S. Women’s Amateur at the Country Club of Charleston Tuesday in South Carolina.
Junior All-American Erynne Lee (right) and incoming freshman Alison Lee both safely advanced to match play, which begins on Wednesday.
Alison Lee was three-over par on the day through her first two holes before reeling off six birdies with a bogey in her last 16 holes, including birdies on the 17th and 18th holes. She posted a 69 (-2) and tied for fifth place at 143 (+1).
Erynne Lee recorded four birdies and three bogeys Tuesday for a one-under par 70. She carded an outward score of 34 (-2) and an inward total of 36. She tied for 22nd at 145 (+3).
The top 64 golfers will advance to the match play draw, which continues through Sunday.
