Oregon State seals upset against No. 6 ASU with Michael Doctor interception

Oregon State's season went south with a four-game losing streak heading into Saturday, but Mike Riley's crew finally broke through with an impressive second half to beat No. 6 Arizona State on an ice cold evening in Corvallis.

Sean Mannion led the Beavers' charge, hitting Jordan Villamin with a 67-yard bomb early in the fourth quarter, but the explosive Sun Devils had plenty of chances to overcome a 28-27 OSU lead. Those opportunities went out the window when one of the most experienced Beavers, linebacker Michael Doctor, jumped on ASU quarterback Taylor Kelly's pass for a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown to make it 35-27, a score that would hold.

The Beavers' defense deserves credit after allowing just three points in the second half but it was Doctor's big play that sealed the deal.
