Ryan Murphy gives Oregon State special teams a boost against USC

The Oregon State Beavers offense only mustered 181 total yards Saturday in a 38-10 loss to USC, so scoring was hard to come by. But a positive for Mike Riley's squad showed up on the special teams unit early on at The Coliseum.

Safety Ryan Murphy answered a pick-six by USC safety Su'a Cravens late in the first quarter by following up the Trojans' first score with a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Oregon State would only score a field goal thereafter as the offense failed to find seams against a rock solid Trojans defense, but Riley certainly has to like how his kick return unit gave his team an answer to a big USC play.
