The Oregon State Beavers needed 66- and 78-yard touchdown runs by its running back duo of Terron Ward and Storm Woods just to find themselves down by 10 to Arizona State at halftime. The biggest play was to come. 

It turns out the offense would continue to use the big plays not only to survive but to upset No. 6 Arizona State, 35-27, in Corvallis on Saturday night.

With 11 minutes left in the game and OSU trailing ASU 27-21, quarterback Sean Mannion found receiver Jordan Villamin on a 67-yard post pattern and got a little help from his offensive line and two backs, who picked up an all-out blitz by the Sun Devils.

Do the math: Three Oregon State scoring plays made up 42 percent of the Beavers' 498 total yards. Tack on an insurance touchdown by the defense on a pick-six and the Beavs took yet another Jenga piece out of the complex College Football Playoff puzzle.
