Pac-12 Networks’ celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Pac-12 Conference on December 2, 2015 by introducing Icons of the Centennial, a program that honors and salutes the most influential athletic figures in the history of the conference. The twelve member institutions would each be recognized with a “Mount Rushmore” of legends that includes a male athlete, female athlete, head coach and a university pioneer within the sports landscape selected by the schools themselves to serve as the faces of a particular institution’s athletics program. From there, viewers will be tasked with voting on four figures from the twelve institutions to be the athletic icons that represent the entire conference. Icons of the Centennial aims to spotlight the trailblazers from the Conference of Champions and immortalize the transcendent effect they had in the Pac-12 and beyond.
